Yes. NEDDIE is free to use for everyone.
All nonprofits on NEDDIE are vetted 501c3 nonprofits. NEDDIE uses Guidestar ( a nonprofit database used by companies and the government) and other requirements to validate nonprofits.
There are many different ways to search for a cause on NEDDIE.
Go to the search engine and type a topic of interest, a location, a nonprofit name or using keywords. Nonprofits within your specific search criteria will appear.
Under the "Spotlight" section you will find new causes to learn about every week.
Under the "Fundraisers" section not only you can see fundraisers but you can click on the nonprofits' name to learn more about the nonprofit.
Under the "Trending" section we did the job for you. Just click on your topic of interest to find all the causes under a specific topic.
NEDDIE serves as a nonprofit marketplace. Each nonprofit on NEDDIE has a profile where you can learn about the nonprofit, their impact, active fundraisers, how to take action and how to follow them. Just search for the cause that interests you and click on the nonprofit that you wish to learn more.
NEDDIE uses Stripe as its payment system. Stripe is a renowned and highly secure payment system that is used by other companies such as Amazon and Google. NEDDIE does not handle any bank account or payment information.
NEDDIE is a free platform. We do not charge charities for our services. However, transactions have a 2.9% + $0.30 handling fee from the Stripe payment system and 3.5% from NEDDIE.
Your information is completely private. NEDDIE never shares your information without your consent. If you wish to share your information with the charity you donate to, at checkout you can opt in to share your information such as name and email. Sharing your basic information will help charities improve their reach and meet their fundraising goals. Payment information is never shared.
When you make a donation through NEDDIE you will receive a receipt of your donation to the email address you provided. The receipt will show the nonprofit's name that you donated to, and it will appear the same way on your bank statement.
To track your donations you have to sign up with NEDDIE. As soon as you sign up, set up your profile and start donating. NEDDIE will start tracking all of your donations. On your profile go to "Track My Donations" where you will find all of your donations. Toggle between "Last 30 days" or "Last 12 months" to see your donations. You can download your report to attach to your annual taxes for deduction purposes.
Absolutely! In each of the nonprofits' profile page you will find different ways to help, such as buying an item from their marketplace or donating an item from their wishlist.
