The OGE Energy Foundation

The OGE Energy Corp. Foundation, Inc. provides charitable grants to nonprofit organizations to enhance the quality of life and economic well-being in the communities where OG&E operates, primarily in Oklahoma and western Arkansas.



The Foundation’s primary giving priorities include:



1. Education
Increasing access to STEM/math & science education for elementary & middle school students from low-income or underrepresented communities. 


2. Health & Human Services
Supporting nonprofit work that improves health outcomes for families transitioning out of homelessness, low-income families, and seniors. 


3. Community Development & Workforce
Building opportunities for people with low income or underrepresented groups to develop workforce and life skills. 


4. Environmental Stewardship
Partnerships that enhance biodiversity, water sustainability and conservation education.


5. Culture & the Arts
Providing access to arts and cultural experiences for families from low-income and underrepresented communities.



Applications are accepted year-round; however, funding decisions are made three times a year. Applications are evaluated three times per year during committee meetings based on the following dates:


Oct. 1 - Jan. 31 (Committee Meeting in March)

Feb. 1 - May 31 (Committee Meeting in July)

June 1 - Sept. 30 (Committee Meeting in November)

About The Grant

Requirements

  • Be a U.S.-based IRS 501(c)(3) qualified charitable or educational organization or an accredited K-12 educational institution.


  • Be geographically located where OG&E operates.


  • Have a method by which to measure, track, and report program outcomes and specific results that demonstrate measurable community impact.
