About The Grant
The Max and Victoria Dreyfus Foundation will consider grants for IRS-qualified non-profit organizations located within the United States.
The Foundation will consider requests to support museums, cultural and performing arts programs; schools and hospitals; educational, skills-training, and other programs for youth, seniors, and persons with disabilities; environmental and wildlife protection activities; and other community-based organizations and programs.
The Foundation does award funding for operating support, as well as for specific projects or activities of an organization. The Foundation does not have a preference between program and operating support.
Requests received between May 11th (12:00 am EST) and November 10th (11:59 pm EST) are considered for funding during our Spring Award Round. All applicants who submit a request during this timeframe can expect to have received a status update by email by the end of April. Those who are selected for further consideration can expect to receive a final decision by mail by the end of May.
Requests received between November 11th (12:00 am EST) and May 10th (11:59 pm EST) are considered for funding during the Fall Award Round. All applicants who submit a request during this timeframe can expect to receive a status update by email, by the end of October. Those who have been selected for further consideration can expect to receive a final decision by mail by the end of November.
The Foundation makes grants to non-profit organizations across the United States. The Foundation does not establish geographical preferences within the United States. The Foundation can also consider requests from organizations based in the United States but whose programming takes place abroad, as well as requests from organizations located in U.S. Territories.
Requirements
Our application requires organization and contact information, answers to questions related to your organization's non-profit status answers to questions related to past awards/requests, a summary of your organization's purpose and programs, a summary of how potential funding would be utilized, a letter of request, your most recent 990 (if applicable), an itemized organization budget, an itemized program budget (for organizations applying for program support).
Copy of your organization's IRS letter stating your Section 501(c)(3) tax-exempt/ not a private foundation status.
