Meals in Need Today (MINT) is a program by Basilica Bio which aims to address food insecurity by helping local farms and gardens establish food distribution plans, and by supporting pre-existing, established food distribution programs with educational materials, supplies, and volunteers. The program will support the relationship between community members in need and local food producers, ultimately contributing to a more sustainable and resilient food ecosystem.
Our supplemental grants, at $1250 each, are just another way we aim to support community-led efforts to address the issue of food insecurity. These grants can be used for equipment, supplies, staff hours, or anything else that will make it easier for you to get culturally relevant foods into the hands of community members.
We will be distributing awards on a rolling basis and will distribute a total of four grants during the 2026-2027 cycle.
In this form, we will ask for documentation to be uploaded including those used to verify 501c3, fiscal sponsor, or other organizational status. We will also ask for information about your organization's budget from the previous fiscal year. Please have these documents ready to upload in the proper format.
We will reach out for a short 15-30 minute interview following review of your application if chosen.
If you have any questions about your application, the MINT program, or Basilica Bio, please do not hesitate to contact us at info@basilicabio.org.
