About The Grant

The Generac Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Generac Power Systems, launched in 2023 to formalize the company’s long-standing community giving.

We will primarily contribute to organizations based in our Generac communities or that provide direct services in a geography that includes one of our manufacturing facilities or offices, and align to our giving priorities.

Foundation Priorities:

  • Education

Most of our charitable efforts will focus on the education of young people. We want to inspire, engage, and equip diverse and underserved populations with STEM skills needed for a bright future and sustainable wages that education can help provide.

-STEM skills K-12

Our focus is on reaching underserved and underrepresented youth to deliver skill development programs, inspiration and hands-on opportunities in STEM.

-Career, College & Tech School Readiness

We want to help young people experience the variety of pathways for their future. Upskilling, mentoring, apprenticeships, exploration days and training programs that provide young people or adults with new possibilities will be considered.

-Next Gen Engineers & Electricians

Two key mindsets or professions will help fuel innovation in the future: engineers and electricians. We seek programs that will generate interest in these career paths.

  • Responders

We want to support and applaud those who respond to the call for help throughout our communities.

-Disaster Response & Preparedness

We will support organizations that provide resources and assistance during disasters, and help people prepare for disasters from home fires to weather-related.

-Veterans and Military Families

We seek to honor and support those who have served our country.

-Community Volunteers

We will consider requests to support volunteerism.

-First Responders

We will review requests that provide support, recognition, training, or tools to local first responders in our communities.

  • Sustainability

Energy is essential for people and progress, and renewable energy is critical for our planet. We want to support learning and exploration to inspire advancement in sustainable clean energy in our society.

-Clean Energy Education

We will concentrate on supporting programs that aim to educate and engage people with clean energy and adopting it in our society.

-Clean Energy Innovation

We seek to partner with educational institutions and nonprofits that provide platforms for innovation, inspiration, and exploration into clean energy solutions for the future. This can include education-based energy-related research and hands-on challenges to explore possibilities.

-Energy Conservation

We will consider requests to support programs that foster energy conservation.

  • Community

Within our Community Pillar, we will focus on being a good neighbor where Generac has facilities, and its employees live and work.

-Hyper-local

We will focus on charitable efforts and events near Generac facilities to help ensure strong and vibrant communities.

-Employee-Enabled Giving

We will support a program that enables Generac employees to apply for small grants to charities they are involved with.

Requests can be submitted at any time, and a response is provided within 60 days.
