About The Grant
FBT provides grants to US-based qualified charitable organizations and Non-Government Organizations, including US headquartered organizations operating programs in the US or elsewhere in the world.
To date we have funded organizations that address the following areas of interest:
Women Empowerment Efforts
Vocational Training Programs
Education Related Programs
Economic Development Programs
Other
Grant Amount and Types
Funded Global Grants (outside of the US) typically range between $5,000 - $10,000 with some grants reaching up to $15,000.
Funded Local Grants (limited to McLean County, Illinois) typically range between $500 - $5,000.
In some cases, larger grants may be awarded, but this usually occurs only after we have developed a relationship with your organization over time.
We accept requests for both general operating support and specific programs or projects within our areas of interest.
FBT will review and decide on grants submitted in the:
Spring (Feb 1st to Feb 28th) by the end of Second Quarter (June 30th)
Fall (August 1st to August 31th) by the end of Fourth Quarter (December 31st)
All of our grants will be issued as unrestricted grants.
Requirements
For US based grants, Non-Profit organizations need to qualify for public charity status under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or public schools and libraries.
For global grants, Non-Profit organizations need to qualify as tax exempt non governmental charity in the countries they operate in.
FBT will not accept applications from organizations who were awarded grants in the previous grant cycle.
