About The Grant

Global Down Syndrome Foundation Employment Award – This grant supports nonprofit organizations that create or expand meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with Down syndrome. 


Award applications must be submitted with a specific employee or employment program in mind. Examples of successful awards include underwriting for a hire, job coach, expanded hours, and vendors who employ or are run by people with Down syndrome.


Awards of up to $2,000 help fund job coaching, paid positions, and inclusive workplace initiatives that promote independence and empowerment.

Requirements

  • Only organizations that are designated 501(c)(3) by the IRS can apply, or if located outside of the US, equivalent proof of government non-profit charitable status.
