Capital Applications
The first step in our Capital grant application process is a Letter of Intent form which will be available on January 12. Applicants will be notified within 4-6 weeks whether they will proceed to a full application, which will be due no later than August 12. Capital requests are considered annually in October with decisions communicated before the end of the year.
Monthly Thematic Areas of Funding
The Board of Directors considers grant requests not only by the Foundation’s Four Areas of Funding, but also by monthly Thematic Areas of Funding. Please refer to our table of deadlines to find the month that best aligns with your organization’s work and note the corresponding application deadline. If the due date for your thematic area has past, please wait to apply until the next year’s application has been posted. This is usually done by the end of October.
Requirements
Only organizations that are currently registered as section 501(c)(3) with the Internal Revenue Service will be considered.
Funding is generally limited to Los Angeles and adjacent surrounding areas.
