The Clorox Company

Clorox Foundation

The Clorox Company Foundation has a mission to foster healthy and inclusive communities so people can be well and thrive. The Clorox Company Foundation focuses its philanthropy on efforts to help ensure equal opportunities for under-resourced people within our communities. We provide support to improve their overall physical and mental health and help them flourish. The Clorox Company Foundation provides grant support in Oakland, California, our headquarter community, and nationally.

Based on the promise of health security, the foundation focuses on programs that support three areas:

Community Wellness

Racial Justice

Organizations that are working at the community level to address social determinants of health and racial equality issues.

Youth Development/Education

Programs that increase equity of opportunity, access and outcomes to create lasting social impact.

Sustainability

Organizations that focus on solving environmental justice issues that disproportionately impact urban areas and communities of color.

Disaster Prevention

Organizations that:

  • Educate and/or provide supplies to people/healthcare facilities.

  • Conduct research regarding infection control/preventing the spread of germs and disease in a post-pandemic life.

Disaster Relief & Preparedness

Organizations that focus on emergency preparedness, response, and recovery locally and nationally.

Through the Community Development Program (CDP), many Clorox remote offices and manufacturing plants outside of Oakland, California, also operate small giving programs in their local communities. These programs are administered independently and generally serve nonprofit organizations within a three-to-five mile radius of these facilities. To learn more about our Community Development Program, please email community.relations@clorox.com.

**If your organization has not received support from Clorox within the past five years, you meet current eligibility requirements and you would like to inquire about an invitation, please email cloroxfndt@eastbaycf.org, no concept paper required at the time of inquiry.**
