Art Bridges

Art Bridges

Art Bridges partner with museums to provide strategic and financial support to get American art out of storage and into communities nationwide through our art sharing and community engagement programs.

Supporting museums in activating loans through innovative, transformative programs, gathering meaningful visitor data, and reaching new communities.

Before starting a project, review the key criteria to ensure your museum is a good fit for Art Bridges' partnership opportunities:

— Location: Based in the US or its territories

— Nonprofit status: 501(c)(3) or equivalent

— Accessibility: Open to the public on a regular schedule

— Annual attendance: Typically 25,000 visitors or more

— Exhibition capacity: Ability to safely display and care for fine art

— Mission alignment: Projects that meaningfully engage audiences and expand access to art

Discover significant artworks available for loan to museums across the country; browse traveling exhibitions awaiting placement; learn about cohort collaborations; and find programming inspiration through our Idea Center.

Start by defining your vision for partnering with Art Bridges. Consider how your museum could benefit from collection loans, traveling exhibitions, or programming support. Identify goals of the collaboration, opportunities for art-sharing in your galleries and exhibition schedules, and the audience you aim to reach.

We can provide guidance, answer questions, and help explore opportunities that align with both your museum's needs and the Art Bridges mission—and get you ready to complete your Partner Profile in the application portal, the first step in any Art Bridges project.
